- Daytime: 15°C to 30°C (can feel hotter due to intense sunlight). Nighttime: Can drop significantly, especially at higher altitudes.
- MONSOON (JULY - SEPTEMBER):
- Ladakh is a rain shadow region, so rainfall is minimal. However, occasional heavy downpours can occur, sometimes leading to flash floods.
- Temperature in MONSOON range approximately 10°C to 25°C.
- WINTER (OCTOBER - MARCH):
- Extremely cold with heavy snowfall. Many roads and passes are closed. This is the season for the Chadar Trek (frozen Zanskar River).Only suitable for those prepared for extreme cold.
- Often drops below 0°C, with minimum temperatures reaching -20°C to -30°C or even lower in some areas (like Kargil). Kargil can reach temperatures as low as -50 Degrees.
