Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, is famously called the "Pink City."   • Foundation: Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Meticulously planned city based on Vastu Shastra, an ancient Indian architectural science. Designed by Vidyadhar Bhattacharya.
  • Pink City Designation: Painted pink in 1876 to welcome the Prince of Wales, symbolizing hospitality. This distinctive color has been preserved, giving the city its unique charm.
